Nylon ties performance and precautions

Nylon ties are a kind of engineering plastic, with nylon 66 injection moulding nylon ties have excellent mechanical properties, different specifications of nylon ties have different binding circle diameter and tensile strength (tension), (see nylon ties specification table).

I. Mechanical properties of nylon ties
II. Effect of temperature on nylon ties

Nylon ties maintain excellent mechanical properties and resistance to ageing over a wide temperature range (40~85C). Humidity on nylon ties
Ⅲ. Effect of nylon ties
Nylon ties maintain excellent mechanical properties in a humid environment. Nylon ties are hygroscopic and have higher elongation and impact strength as humidity (water content) increases, but tensile strength and rigidity gradually decrease.
IV. Electrical characteristics and incombustibility
The electrical rating is less than 105°C and does not affect its performance.
V. Chemical resistance Chemical resistance
Nylon ties have excellent chemical resistance, but strong acids and phenolic chemicals have a large impact on their properties.
VI. Weather resistance of nylon ties to cold weather
In cold and dry weather, the nylon ties will be brittle and break when used. In addition, in the production of nylon ties, the process of boiling water can be used to deal with this brittle breakage phenomenon. And in the production process should also pay attention to the temperature and speed control, do not let the raw material in the screw for too long and material scorching situation.

Nylon ties (cable ties)
1. Nylon ties are hygroscopic, so do not open the packaging before use. After opening the packaging in a humid environment, try to use it up within 12 hours or repackage the unused nylon ties to avoid affecting the tensile strength and rigidity of the nylon ties during operation and use.
2. When using the nylon ties, the tension should not exceed the tensile strength of the nylon ties themselves.
3. The diameter of the object to be tied should be smaller than the diameter of the nylon cable tie, greater than or equal to the diameter of the nylon cable tie is not convenient to operate and the tie is not tight, the remaining length of the band is not less than 100MM after tying.
4. The surface part of the object to be tied should not have sharp corners.
5. When using nylon ties, there are generally two methods, one is to tighten them manually by hand, the other is to use a tie gun to tighten and cut them off. In the case of using a tie gun, attention should be paid to adjust the strength of the gun, depending on the size, width and thickness of the tie to determine the strength of the gun.
